Start Right Physiotherapists provide physiotherapy services to children from birth to school leaving.
Our physiotherapists are highly skilled and have significant experience in children’s physiotherapy across the public, private, disability and community sector.
All physiotherapists are registered Physiotherapists with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency (AHPRA), and all have Medicare provider numbers enabling access to Medicare programs.
We are NDIS registered and provide services to NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan managed. We also support 7-18 year olds’ whose plans are managed by the NDIA.
While GP or specialist referrals are welcome, you can also book directly with us without a referral.
Director and Principal Physiotherapist
Kym Pottinger, B. Phty Hons. (1st Class)
With over 25 years of experience as a physiotherapist, Kym has worked in major hospitals in Australia, Canada, and the UK. She has extensive experience in paediatrics and a particular interest in the 0-5-year age group.
Kym has worked as a physiotherapist in paediatrics at Mater Children’s Hospital (Brisbane), BC Children’s Hospital (Vancouver), Sydney Children’s Hospital (Randwick) and University College Hospital (London).
Kym is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) and of the APA’s National Paediatric and Aquatic Therapy Groups.
She is a registered NDIS provider.
Kym is a fun, enthusiastic and highly skilled children’s physiotherapist. She is passionate about access to physical activity for young people with a disability and thrives on the challenge of encouraging children to enjoy physical activity.
She loves working with families of young children with disabilities or injuries; helping them to understand their child’s condition, and empowering parents to support their child in maximising their mobility.
When not working with children and their families, Kym is mum to two surprisingly wonderful boys.

Clinic. Mobile. Telehealth
We offer clinic and mobile physiotherapy to people in the Sutherland Shire, St George and South-Eastern areas of Sydney, and telehealth physiotherapy services if you are outside the area.
Mobile Physiotherapy (Wednesdays)
Mobile appointments are a minimum of 45 minutes and can be at your home, childcare centre, pre-school or school, private pool, or your local park. We are flexible and will work around you and your availability.
Clinic (Monday and Tuesdays)
Clinic appointments are held at Metropolitan Physiotherapy Services, 315 Kingsway, Caringbah.
Telehealth
Can’t make it to the clinic or a home appointment? We offer interactive telehealth physiotherapy services to help you manage your child’s physical health no matter where you are.
